Michael W. Ranger
Mr. Ranger is a Senior Managing Director and co-founder of Diamond Castle. His area of focus is the energy and power sector.

Prior to founding Diamond Castle in 2004, Mr. Ranger was Co-Chairman of DLJ Global Energy Partners, which was responsible for DLJ Merchant Banking's energy investing activities, since 2002. Previously, he was an investment banker in the energy and power sector for 20 years, most recently as Head of the Domestic Power Group at CSFB and prior to that as Group Head of Global Energy & Power at DLJ. Before joining DLJ in 1990, he was a Senior Vice President in the Energy & Utility Group at Drexel Burnham Lambert and was a member of the Utility Banking Group at Bankers Trust.

Mr. Ranger is a Director of Professional Directional Enterprises, Bonten Media Group, KDC Solar LLC and Consolidated Edison Company of New York (NYSE:ED). He is a former Director of Catamount Energy Corporation, TXU Corp. (NYSE:TXU), on which he served as chairman of its Strategic Transactions Committee until the company's sale to a group of private equity investors in 2007, and American Ref-Fuel Company. He is a Trustee Emeritus of St. Lawrence University and, Chairman of the Board, of The Seeing Eye, Inc. and a member of the Board of Morristown-Beard School. Mr. Roberts a Senior Managing Director at Diamond Castle, focused on the portfolio. He has over 20 years of experience driving growth and profit improvement programs in a wide range of industries including Industrial, Healthcare, Media, and Financial Services.

Prior to joining Diamond Castle in 2010, Mr. Roberts was a Partner at Bain and Company, where he worked with the firm’s private equity clients on due diligence and driving a broad range of performance programs in their portfolios. Mr. Roberts joined Bain in 1995 and worked in their New York, Sydney, London, and Boston offices.
